2013: A STUDY IN BLACK & WHITE, PART I

2013 was another banner year for following the music scene in San Antonio.

But instead of a year-end wrap-up like I normally write every January, I thought I’d try something different this year. I picked one photo from each show that I thought would look best in black and white. The first 15 are listed below. The others will follow over the next few days.

Jan. 5 at Mission San Juan for bluesman Charlie Cruz, 
known as Cool Cat Charlie. He used several of my photos on his 
self-titled CD which was released this year.

at Tipitina's in New Orleans!

The Mavericks at Sam's Burger Joint March 15. I was lucky enough to see
them again in New Orleans in October. They are magnificent!
